Have you ever looked at our prints and wondered how the design process works? It is one of the most common questions we hear, and the answer is at the heart of everything we do.
Supporting Independent Designers
If you’re new here, welcome to wonderland4children (W4C).
If you have purchased from us before, you likely already know that I am deeply passionate about working with small, independent fabric designers to create something truly special.
Our Design Philosophy
As you may have noticed while browsing our collections, we don’t really do simple or plain designs. That is very intentional.
Our philosophy is rooted in the art of creation. I love creating products from scratch—and that goes far beyond just the print. It includes the actual product design and functionality. We carefully imagine how you and your children will use each piece, ensuring it works perfectly for your lifestyle.
The same care goes into our custom prints. By collaborating closely with talented designers and creating patterns from scratch, we are able to grow together while supporting their creative journeys.
Where the Inspiration Starts
Ideas for our collections come from everywhere. We look at:
-
Your Feedback: Our customers are our best collaborators.
-
Visual Inspiration: Trends from Pinterest and unique shop displays.
-
Color Palettes: Unexpected combinations from Pantone swatches.
The Beauty of the Unexpected
Some of our most memorable designs come from the most unexpected places. Recently, we introduced a new print that wasn't actually my idea—it was suggested by one of our wonderful team members.
I’ll admit, I was hesitant at first. I wasn't sure how it would be received or if it quite fit, as it was a pattern we had never tried before. However, we trusted the creative process and the team's instinct.
To our surprise, that specific design sold out within 2 weeks. It was a beautiful reminder that sometimes the ideas we are most unsure of become the ones you love the most.
What Should We Design Next?
At W4C, our community is a true part of the creative process — and we genuinely want to hear from you.
